How is your love life? Are you happy? Passionate? Completely fulfilled? Or are you frustrated? Bored? Or are you thinking, "love? what is that? I've given up?"
What's keeping you up at night when it comes to love?
I was once right where you are. I know you want more out of love and life. But it's not always easy to know where to start.
Maybe you've picked up a relationship book here and there. Or watched a video on how to communicate better... or one on how to have better sex and intimacy.
It can be overwhelming to have to look for the information you need, practice it AND adjust it for your intimate partner all at the same time.
Most of the relationship help on the market is not culturally relevant. To make a long story short- everything ain't for everbody...
There are so many things that you should have learned as a girl to make love easier. Don't worry... It's not your mother or your family's fault. AND it's not "too late." But, it is your responsibility to have the love you want (and deserve). And now you have a wonderful opportunity to do something different.
The truth is you can't help but copy how your parents and caregivers loved. It's what you saw (good or bad) and experienced early when you made your rules about love. Even if you tell yourself, "I'll never talk like my mom. Or I'll never settle like my dad," it's very hard to be successful without a strategy. You could respect and appreciateEVERYTHING your parents did in love and STILL not know how to replicate it in your own life.
Why?
Because for all the "education" we're forced through as children and young adults, we never learn how to love and be loved. Rarely do our parents and caregivers sit us down to explain their actions or let us know what worked and didn't work for them and WHY it worked of didn't work. We're normally left to figure love out through trial and error and that normally just leads to headache and heartbreak.
We say there's no handbook to love but that's not true! The handbook to healthy and harmonious relationships is culture. Learning, Understanding and Practicing the Art and Science of Love is the remedy to "negative" emotions, heavy hearts, drama and relationship fatigue.
